I’ve been looking back over the last three weeks. Thursday dinners have slipped every time, usually after a late finish, and that’s when the takeaway comes in.
So I’ve changed your plan. Thursday is now a 10 minute dinner, the Spiced Black Bean and Egg you rated well, and the longer lentil ragù has moved to Sunday when you usually have more time.
I’ve moved the ingredients on your shopping list too, so nothing you’ve bought goes to waste.
That would actually help. Thursdays are always chaos.
That’s really common. It’s rarely about willpower, more about what feels easy at 8pm. I’ll check in on Friday and adjust again if it still doesn’t fit.
Plan updated · Thursday and SundayAm I getting enough fibre this week?
You’re averaging 24g a day, up from 18g last month and close to the 30g guide. Your lentil lunches are doing most of the work, adding around 8g each time.
Plant variety is at 23 this week against a target of 30. Seeds on your breakfast or a bean salad at lunch would close most of the gap.
Which breakfast seems to suit me best?
Across the last 6 times, your glucose has looked steadier after yoghurt and oats than after toast, with a smaller rise and a quicker settle. It’s one pattern rather than a rule, so I’ll keep watching.

I’d like to lose a stone by the summer.
That’s a good goal to work towards. Between now and July it comes out at around 1 lb a week, which is steady and realistic.
Looking at your recent weeks, the biggest wins are likely to be keeping your planned lunches and building on the movement you already do, since you’re active on 4 days most weeks.
For this week, how about two extra 20 minute walks and sticking with your planned lunches? We’ll look at how it went on Sunday and build from there.
Sounds doable.
